"EVERYBODY CHEERS" Petition:
|
We, the undersigned of: _______________________________________ (school)
express our support for the "EVERYBODY CHEERS"(tm) program and
would like to begin this program effective ___/___/___ (date).
We believe that every student who wants to be a cheerleader should be allowed to sign up for the cheerleading squad without a tryout process.
We feel that the current cheerleading selection process decreases school spirit by excluding so many students who would like to be a part of the squad.
We would like to begin a program in which no one is excluded from the cheerleading squad. A program where every student who wants to join the cheerleading squad is allowed to take part.
We believe the "EVERYBODY CHEERS" program will be good for our school.
~ "EVERYBODY CHEERS" will increase student participation in extra curricular activities and decrease student delinquency.
~ Students' grades will improve in order to participate.
~ Students will learn tolerance, inclusiveness and working together.
~ The "EVERYBODY CHEERS" program will increase ticket sales for the athletic department with sales to more parents, friends and family members of the additional students participating.
~ Parents will become more involved with students by volunteering to help with practices and games.
~ EVERYBODY CHEERS will promote a sense of unity within the community, eliminating the divisiveness that often occurs when tryout processes and results are considered to be unfair.
~ School spirit will soar!
