"EVERYBODY CHEERS" CONCEPT:
(1)
Everybody who would like to be a
cheerleader at your school will SIGN UP
to JOIN the cheerleading squad.
(2)
If for example, 100 students sign up to
join cheerleading, the 100 students are
divided into 5 teams of 20 students.
(If you like, your school can make some
of the teams "Gymnastics Cheering Teams"
and some teams strictly "Cheering Teams".)
(3)
The first of the 5 teams will take their
places in front of the stands and will
be the first to perform their cheers.
(4)
The additional 4 teams will be seated in
order of performance on the first 4 rows
of bleachers.
(5)
After the first cheering team finishes its
alloted time, the 2nd cheering team will
quickly file out of the bleachers to the
front of the stands and the first cheering
team will be seated in their places.
This system will continue until all 5 teams
have had their chance to cheer
in front of the crowd.
(This will require organization, but
IMAGINE the energy and excitement
that will be created for the school's
sports teams when so many students
will be participating in the cheering from
the stands! (After all, isn't cheerleading
supposed to be about leading cheers to inspire
and encourage your team?)
Not only will the cheerleaders in front
of the stands be generating incredible team
spirit, but the 4 additional cheering teams
in the stands will blow the opposing team away!)
PARENTS will be needed to volunteer for practices
and games to organize and to help coach the 5 teams.
As we mentioned above, these are only suggestions.
The concept is new, and we welcome your thoughts
and suggestions. We will be happy to post them
to the EVERYBODY CHEERS blog.
We know that students and parents can make this happen!
It's up to the students and parents to start the ball
rolling and follow this concept through to completion
so that cheerleading can be enjoyed by EVERYONE
who would like to participate.
It's time for a new era in cheerleading where
"EVERYBODY CHEERS"!!!

~ We believe that the old cheerleading selection
process is outdated and needs to be changed.
~ Students and parents can start changing the rules
today but you have to start NOW!
~ Get together with your friends and parents.
~ Schedule regular meetings about the
"EVERYBODY CHEERS" concept.
~ Create a petition about starting
"EVERYBODY CHEERS" and have it signed
by all of the students and parents
who would like to participate.

~ Present your petition to your school
pricipal and to your school board.
~ Demonstrate how the "EVERYBODY CHEERS"
concept will be good for your school.
~ Show how "EVERYBODY CHEERS" will increase student participation in extra curricular activities and
decrease student delinquency.
~ Show how "EVERYBODY CHEERS" will increase school spirit.
~ Show how "EVERYBODY CHEERS" will help the athletic department with increased ticket sales from parents, friends and family members of participating students.
~ Show how parents will become more involved with students by volunteering at practices and games.
~ Show how students' grades must meet high standards
in order for students to participate.
~ Put pressure on your school board officials to make
this change immediately!
~ Don't let this opportunity pass you by. (Make your junior high and high school days something to remember!)
~ It's within your reach! With enough pressure and determination, students, parents and teachers can
make this happen very quickly.
~ Be the FIRST SCHOOL in your area to start the "EVERYBODY CHEERS" program!
~ Just think of how exciting your next school year can be!
